Mohe mohe yaad aayo x2
Biraha tadap dil gaayo x2
Mohan mohe . . .
Rehna saku bin tohre kanha,
Tohre daras ki karu abhilasa,
Kaahe prateeksha karvayo?
Mohan mohe . . .
Door nagri gayo mora kanha,
Vahaan na naiya mohe kaise waha jaana?
Bhagya ka khel rachayo
Mohan mohe yaad. . .
Har vastu mein yaad tohri kanha,
Sochat vilagana mann mooljaya,
Dwarikawalo roop bhayo
Mohan mohe . . .
Madraat ki gadhi aaye na kanha,
Samay se nainan hateh na zara sa,
Pal pal bhaari karaayo
Mohan mohe . .
.
Tohre daras ko taras gayi kanha,
Ab aah kar tu pyaas bhujaana,
Tohre hi rang dil rangayo,
Mohan mohe . . .

It is indeed true that you only miss someone and understand their true value when they are away from you...We as devotees of Krishna constantly feel the separation from our dear-most Lord, and sometimes, a bit too much. Here is a prayer wishing that all the Krishna lovers muster the strength to survive this separation until that blissful, ecstatic moment of unification arrives.
**Om Shri Krishna Sharanam Mamah**
Hare Krishna!
ReplyDeleteWould it be possible to post an English translation? I don't quite understand everything.
Thanks!
wow... now that is a task! Anyway, i shall try my level best to translate it to the fullest degree...sorry, it wont be as rhythmic as a poem (maybe ILWK could do it better). Enjoy this "not- so-up-to-the-mark" translation :D

Mohan has come to my mind,
Greiving separation,My heart has sung out.
Live,I cannot without you ,O Kanha
I weave dreams of our unification.
Why have you destined me to WAIT for thee?
Far away you have gone,My dearest Kanha
With no vehicle,No boat, How do I reach you?
You have here, played with me-the game of fate
Every atom of existence reminds me of you,O Kanha
Thinking of our separation,My soul withers
You handsome prince of Dwarka, have allured my heart
That golden time does not strike,O Kanha
Not for a moment do My eyes detach from the timemarker,
You have made every moment of this lifetime like a million years.
For your one glance,I have dehydrated O Kanha,
Come now, and quench this thirst.
My heart has colored itself in your your lovely blue...
